Derreenauliffe Lodge consist of two cottages. Both situated in the most spectacular part of the Ring of Kerry, looking out over Kenmare Bay.

The Michael Collins and Daniel O'Connell cottages are both 2-bedroom self-catering cottages which can sleep 4 people in each. Both cottages are charming and quiet, with an open fire and a spring-sourced water supply, the cottages have bathroom with shower, kitchen (all mod cons plus toaster, sandwich maker, microwave, cooker and fridge), entrance hall and living room, with facilities including central heating, washing machine, dryer, tv; bed linen is provided. They are both No-smoking cottages, and pets are not allowed.

Smoking is NOT permitted in either the Michael Collins or Daniel O'Connell, and pets are not allowed.

Payment: A deposit of 50% of the total cost is required now to complete your booking. You will be asked to submit your credit card details to secure your booking and your card will be debited 50% of the total cost. The balance of payment should be paid 2 months BEFORE arrival; Derreenauliffe Lodge will contact you to arrange this payment.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations for Derreenauliffe Lodge are NON-REFUNDABLE. Where advance deposits and/or booking fees have been paid, these are non-refundable.


Things to do at Derreenauliffe Lodge: Explore the ruins of the old famine houses or take one of the many leisurely walks on the estate. For those energetic folk, hiking over the mountain, starting from behind the estate and linking up with the "Kerry Way " walks, is very special. The cottage is only 15 minutes drive from the town of Sneem where there is a choice of six pubs that serve up fine fare. Just 15 minutes walk from Derreenauliffe Lodge, down the quiet boreen is the Kinlough Causeway, ideal for fishing and swimming. Alternatively visit the tiny Gleesk Pier to picnic. You may want to consider a boat ride to the Skellig Islands to see the 12th century monastery. For the golf enthusiast there is a 12 hole course at Parknasilla, only 20 minutes drive away, where clubs can be hired. Golf is also available at the Ring of Kerry Golf Course in Kenmare and the famous Waterville Links.

Airports in order of closest proximity are Kerry(1 hr), Cork( 2.5 hr), Shannon(3.5hr), Galway(4.5hr) and Dublin(5.5 hr) . Our American guests commonly use Shannon as it receives direct flights from the USA . Alternatively interconnect from Dublin to Kerry or Cork.
